My winter roamings started early this year, and as a relative newcomer to the North Kent coast, I have immersed myself in my new surroundings; the glorious coastline, the estuaries, but also the extensive woodland, with nearby Blean Woods coming up with the goods for the theme I was roughly putting together, entitled ‘Hanging on in there’, which could be appropriated to myself, the world in general at the moment, and the final, tenacious leaves on the trees. Rosehips, also, seem to have grabbed my attention this month.
