A catch up on 2011 . . . . .

Note to self . . . it is prudent to be updating one’s Blog slightly more frequently than every 8 months . . .

Cornish Coastal Allotment holders:

I came across these fantastically located allotments just between Newlyn and Mousehole.  ‘Coast’ magazine ran the story in July 2011.

Also!  Another great book by author Sian Berry, published by Kyle Books called ‘Junk For Joy’ . . . .

A new Blog for Spring 2011!

Dearest All

What a very fine April it has been . . . in the garden early one morning, the magnolia caught my fancy, a little past it’s prime, but beautiful none the less . .

And without fail, every year I eagerly await the rebirth of the hostas, outside the back door. I got them before the slugs did.

Also, for Spring 2011, two new, wonderful books that I worked on last year . .

The Edible Balcony by Alex Mitchell, published by Kyle Books

A really fun and inspirational book to work on. Also, a perfect opportunity to visit the sort of balconies you don’t come across every day in London.

The Country House Revealed, by Dan Cruickshank, published by BBC Books at Ebury Press

Again, a lovely book to work on . . . . with houses that excelled my wildest dreams . . .
